John has been perfecting his art for over 25 years and is skilled in ceramics, clay, and painting. John has also been venturing at community centres and schools and organizing ceramic painting activities. John also sculpts custom-made sculptures, and ceramic molds.
In-Studio Ceramic Painting
How it works is after you book your appointment, then arrive at the time you booked for, just pop by and begin to paint your masterpiece from our wide selection of ceramic pieces.
If you wish to visit on a weekday which is not a statutory holiday, please call in advance to ensure we have enough room for you.
If you book an appointment on a Saturday or an observed statutory holiday, you may need to pay a deposit through e-transfer in order to secure your reservation.
Prices are all-inclusive, and—unlike some other studios—there are no additional fees for the first two hours of painting. For each member in your group who is not painting a piece, a $10 fee will apply. If you require more than two hours, then a $10 fee per hour, per person applies in your group. Please call to make a reservation beforehand.
In case you wish for a private venue, we also offer our studio from Sundays to Fridays (and Saturdays only from 10 AM–12 PM) for private parties, which would cost $80 per hour. If your private party has more than 10 people painting, the studio fee decreases to $40 per hour.
Take-Home Ceramic Painting
You may also drop by any time during our business hours to purchase any piece you like off our shelf, as well as to purchase the supplies to take home or somewhere with you to paint. Ceramic bisque pieces themselves are given a 15% discount if not painted in-store.
You may purchase any of underglazes (paints) from our wide selection. 2 oz. bottles are $5.00 each and 1 oz. bottles are $2.50 each. Then, you drop off your piece back to our studio for us to overglaze them and fire them to give them their glossy texture that becomes foodsafe. We will call or email you once ready.
Or, if you are painting a decorative non-food item, you ask about our acrylic colours, which do not require firing after painting. $1 per bottle,
Out-of-Studio Reservation Events
Our experienced potter can come to you with all of his supplies and all the ceramics you would like to paint. Great for office parties in your office, school events and fundraising, and general festive parties! Fee will include $80 per hour within our studio hours, both of which, plus the prices of the ceramics you wish to paint.
